Imphal, 17 May 2016 ( Evening News ) : Till the last day for filing of nomination for Imphal Municipal Corporation election, 89 candidates of councillors and 149 candidates of members have filed their nominations. Of the 27 wards, 20 Wards are in Imphal West and 7 wards are in Imphal east. In Imphal west candidates filed their nominations to Returning Officer and 2 Assistant Returning officers at D.C Office, Imphal West. In Imphal East candidates filed their nominations at the office of Sub-Divisional Officer. Till the last day 57 have filed nomination for councillor and 127 for members in Imphal West while 32 for councillors and 22 for members in Imphal East.
