Road mishap claimed one life and injured 4 near Thoubal Wangkhem Bazaar along Yairipok Thoubal road this morning at around 8:50. The deceased is 50 year old Md.Tayeb Ali, son of Late Shaokat Ali of Ngariyan Awang leikai.
According to police reports, the accident occurred when a Tata DI DX bearing registration number MN-05C/1830 coming from Thoubal towards Yairipok collided with a passenger auto rickshaw bearing registration number MN-01Y-9209 coming from the opposite direction. The deceased and the injured persons are occupants of the Auto-rickshaw.
Injured persons were rushed Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences JNIMS, Imphal and the deceased at JNIMS morgue. Yairipok Police Station has registered a case.
