Imphal, 17 September 2016 ( Evening News ) : United Committee Manipur, UCM has urged all the communities living in the State to forget the differences and strive jointly for the protection of the integrity of Manipur. UCM President Elangbam Johnson today said the United Committee Manipur is always prepared to fight the threats against the unity of the state. The UCM made Langban offerings at the memorial of June 18 martyrs at Kekrupat this morning. It may be recalled that 18 persons sacrificed their lives during the people's uprising in June 2001. Johnson said there are talks doing the rounds that the Indo - Naga agreement will be finalised soon. He asserted that if the agreement threatens the integrity of Manipur, UCM will fight against it. He said UCM will soon launch Peoples’ Movement for the Common Future of Manipur to protect the unity of the people. Families and relatives of the martyrs of June 18 also took part in the ritual.
